Description This is a Monastic Woodcraft Nigel Rupert Griffiths Dining Table and Four chairs. Double drop leaf table with the Nigel Griffiths trade mark hinges and design in a lovely mature worn condition, The chairs have a studded marbled leather cover with turned legs and turned spindle back. A little sun fading in places but very nice and ready to use. Rupert Nigel Griffiths designed and manufactured furniture from 1945 to 1990 in solid oak, latterly in Brailsford, Derbyshire. He called his business Monastic Woodcraft Ltd and began supplying Harrods, the original Cavendish House of Cheltenham, and Kendal Milne of Manchester until the 1960s, when he began selling directly to the public.
