Early Georgian late 18th Century antique mule chest in oak. Simple three panelled front with a candle box and two small drawers inside and two drawers in the bottom. Blacksmith made hinges. This is a wonderful early antique panelled oak mule chest. It has been made out of solid oak which has the most beautiful patina which can only be gained through age. This chest has everything you would want to see with an early piece. It is of superb pegged construction and is heavy and robust as would be expected with a piece of this age. Please take the time to view the photographs. The mule chest is then raised on short supports. The top lifts to reveal the interior.
This coffer has a wealth of modern day uses from toy box to blanket box, they are also used to great effect as a coffee table whilst providing useful storage space.

For its age this mule chest is in super condition. It has lost a little simple veneer on one drawer and is missing one pull handle apart from this it is ready to use. No key.
